During this extraordinary time in your life, help foster a nurturing bond between yourself and your baby while finding support and community with other expectant mothers. Learn special postures to practice during the changing phases of your pregnancy as well as calming breathing techniques. Give yourself something special as you proceed along the journey to new parenthood.

In class you can expect to:

• Safely practice yoga postures that help prepare you for labor

• Practice yoga postures that reduce or eliminate common discomforts during pregnancy

• Cultivate confidence and trust in your body’s ability to give birth

• Establish a loving and fulfilling relationship with yourself and your baby

• Discuss topics and share information about pregnancy, birth, and babies

• Build a nurturing community that cares deeply about healthy moms and healthy babies

• Breathe deeply and relax

Philosophy and Training:

I completed my yoga teacher training with Pacific Yoga in 2003. My teaching integrates knowledge of asana technique, breath awareness, and meditation with a playful and loving personality. I strive to give personalized instruction to students in an equally supportive and challenging way. I completed my prenatal yoga teacher training with Judith Lasater in 2004. I believe that pregnancy is a uniquely sweet time to practice yoga. I create a nurturing class environment where students can explore their strength, vulnerability, creativity, and courage at their own pace. I bring my experience as a registered nurse and birth doula into the classroom and am a resource for any number of pregnancy and birth-related questions.
