In a Hatha Yoga class you can expect to work deeply with your breath to explore the sensations that arise in your entire being as you practice held postures and creative flow sequences. Working with intention and a keen awareness of your strengths and limitations, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself and thus change your perception of what is possible.

I gently demand my best effort when I practice yoga: proper physical alignment of the postures (Iyengar-based), integrative breath work, deep relaxation, and a willingness to explore postures that are challenging for me physically, mentally, or emotionally. I compassionately ask the same of my students and work with students to integrate self-exploration, play, and commitment into their yoga practice.

I strive to give individualized attention to everyone in class. It is my delight to know you and to help you navigate and experience a dynamic yoga practice in which your body/mind/spirit continually evolves. My role as an instructor is to be a guide for you as your practice transforms. I am available to my students on an ongoing basis by e-mail, phone, or after class to answer questions, or work one-on-one in private sessions.
